BILL BARICH

Bill Barich established his career with the racetrack classic LAUGHING IN THE HILLS and has since offered readers widely-praised work in over ten books that defy simple categorization. For fifteen years, Barich was a staff writer for The New Yorker, covering travel and the sporting life; select highlights from his contributions to the magazine can be found in AN ANGLE ON THE WORLD.
Barich has contributed to American Poetry Review, Esquire, Narrative, Salon, Sports Illustrated, and other magazines and journals. He has been a Guggenheim Fellow in Fiction and, once a longtime resident of Northern California, is a Literary Laureate of the San Francisco Public Library. From 2010 through 2012 he worked as the lead writer on the HBO series Luck created by David Milch and starring Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte.
Barich lives in Dublin, Ireland.
